Does anyone know how to replace Notepad.exe in Windows 2000?
I have tried renaming it, deleting it and writing over it.
Windows always creates a new copy (actually two, one in
\Windows and one in \Windows\System32).
Never mind! I found out how. You have to rename it in a hidden directory: "\windows\system32\dllcache" before you
can do anything with it elsewhere. You also have to deal
with frantic messages from Windows that your system may become unstable because you have dared to touch the system files.
