notel mics 7.0 voice call issue 1

I have a 7.0 mics with a pri. when a station call another station on voice call, after about 10 seconds a tone comes over the speaker and keep beebing every 5 to 10 seconds while your talking. can"t find anything in programing that will stop it. any suggestions

When the the Phone is IDle that is how it works
you can'nt voice call if that person is on the phone
the phone will just ring

If you just want to ease drop. Open up the phone and cut the wires to the speaker

Should also say on another call on the display, and follow forwarding for busy and no ans.

The beep every so often is how Voice Call is hardcoded in the Norstar programming. It's been that way since the first version. There's no way to change it or circumvent it. That's just the way it is...

Sorry, I misunderstood the post... thought you meant voice calling a busy extension.

Due to crtc regulations a tone must be generated to notify the called person there is a possibility the call will be monitored.

just a side note, when in doubt RTFM. (read the frigging manual)

if you do not want the beep to continue to happen when you make the call ,the receiving person needs to pick up the handset or press hands free ,that acknowledges the call and will stop the beep,(for that call)

as phoneguy427 says its so you can't voicecall the boss before they get in the office , and listen into your evaluation
