Hi,
My notebook pc recently went up in smoke and I really have to recover the data of the diskdrive. Assume the drive itself is okay, does anyone know of anything that will allow me to plug the notebook hdd into my desktop pc so that I can copy the data across?

Cheers,
Sanka

Go on the web, do a search for hard drive converter. For about $25.00 you can get a 2.5 to 3.5 converter kit that has cable and rails to make it a drive you can mount and use at the desktop.
