Not visible dot extension file

Hello Guy,

I am facing strange problem with my System.when I do ls -al
in command prompt for listing a file and directory.I do not get proper listing a file(My mean is i am not able to see .v file).But when I used vi to open that file I able to do open all files.
what could be the reason and how can I make them visible?

Have you tried to use the -b option with the ls -al.


-b Force printing of non-printable characters to be in the
octal \ddd notation.
