Hi,
Don't know if I'm in the right forum or not, but hopefully you guys can help.

I have a Belkin router. Me and my son were trying to logon to yahoo pool, which uses java applet and the little window pops up. He was on desktop and me on wireless laptop.

When I would logon (with different accounts) it would knock him off and vice versa. Why is this?

I guess it has nothing to do with the applet or Java, but with the way your IP is configured.

Maybe Yahoo pool doesn't accept more than one connection from the same IP

Cheers,
Dian

Hi,
Thank you for replying. What I described isn't exactly what's happening.

Me and my 14 year old son were in different rooms Skyping and were trying to play each other on Yahoo pool and it would not let us both connect to Yahoo at the same time.

So Friday, he went with his mother out of town to his aunt's house and I told him to Skype me when he got there. We got on Skype and attempted to logon to the yahoo pool application and the same thing kept happening. I would connect to a game room and then once he would connect, it would kick me out of the room. His aunt is on a totally different ISP provider.

We ended the conversation and closed Skype but it didn't help until both PC's were restarted. Why can't we Skype and play pool, lol.

Thanks for helping.

Ok, I'm sorry for this post. I feel like a moron. I added him to my yahoo account several years ago. I thought he had his own account by now and had forgot that he was on mine. I forgot to always check the simplest things first :)
