Hi,
We got a 2nd computer last week with Windows2000 Professional installed, But when we try to turn it on the windows loading status bar get to half way where it will not go any futher without pulling the plug, after about 4-6 time of doing this it will fully load. we do not have a disk windows 2000 on it so we can not reinstall it.
What could be the problem?????

check ur psu, also the mainboard. it might be a faulty capacitator.
1. boot in safe-mode (f8)
if it does boot u have a driver prob, check device-manager
2. check event-log for errors when fully booted

Usually when a PC fails to start when Windows is loading it is a hardware or driver issue. If it's an older PC there may be driver residue from old devices long gone that Windows is looking for. Try running CCleaner or DriverCleaner.

Read and follow the instructions and run CCleaner more than once, see if the problems lessen.
