I have search online and in tek-tips. I am looking to generate a report that will not show blank fields.
i have set the fields to can shrink and can grow.
example control source ="Design Specification"+[designspec]
I have set the detail section to can shrink.

What I get is just blank space on the report. There is no gap between the field controls on the report so report should not have gaps. I set the border to solid to see if I can see it for the fields and you cannot see it when the report has been run if the fields are empty.

My problem is that I would like the report not to have gaps between lines on the report if the data is blank.

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You might have some very slight overlaps of your controls. You can select them all and select to increase or decrease the vertical spacing in the format menu.

Duane,

Thank you for the response. There was a slight overlap of the controls. By removing this overlap the fields now shrink properly.
