Not showing SDLT but DLT Why????

HP model ss11016 keeps changing the tape type from SDLT to DLT and then refuses to work

anyone seen this before and what do we do. HELP

I am still running 5.0 but if it is a library like mine, it should be configured as a TLD robot and that leaves the choice of media to dlt3 for the cartridges. It may be different in 5.1 but you didn't specify.
