Not seeing mailbox messages?

I'm running Exchange 2k with SP3;

I can send messages from one user to another, but they never show up on the client (Outlook 2000/2003 or OWA).

On the server, I can see the "total items" count going up as I send and recieve messages (in the correct mailboxes), but the messages can't be seen on any client. I would think I could at least see them in OWA.

There are no POP clients grabbing the messages; the server says that the messages are there; but where are they???

Thanks for any input!
