Not removing exchange logs anymore

Full backups in 10d sp4 jobs show logs truncated. And even the aplication event viewer shows logs removed in Windows 2003 SP2. But they remain still. Job completes sucessfully.

If I do an NTBACKUP from the server exchange 2003 server it works and the logs are removed.

What have I missed?

in you selection list do you have all the stores and public folder selected under the Exchange Agent Icon?
If you exluding something its not going to flush the logs
