Not receiving Email (security Alert)

I have a security alert setup when a document changes to notify me. I am not receiving the emails. If I deleted the alert and recreate it I get the email stating I setup the alert but if I post a reply I do not get an Email message stating that something changed.
Any help is appreciated.

dont see an Edit button so I have a little more info.
Now if I close Outlook and go to connect to outlook I get the following:SharePoint' reported error (0x8004010F)
