we've got 2 buildings about 30m across the road from each other - we have a ip500v2 on one side and we are wanting to extend over the road to the other building using a wireles bridge - anyone come across this scenario - any recomendations on hardware to use for the bridge...

we will be putting 30-40 ext plus data for vmpro (8channels) plus data (internet)

We use Cisco wireless bridges for this (if you want robustness) :)

I have used the netgear WAG302 with external antennas for this, think that they are no longer available but they do have the replacement. It is inexpensive and pretty easy.

we use Engenius bridges for this. Cisco a pain in the ass to configure.

Piss easy to install and maintain.

Use 5Ghz as well, far less congestion than 2.4Ghz and your connection will be far more reliable.

You can then use IP phones on the remote end to connect to the switch.

Hint - Install two units at each end. gives redundancy and double bandwidth :)

I don't know Sean, takes me about 4-5 mins for the Cisco's, you must have a sensitive ass :)

Proxim Tsunami is 54 mbps and pretty easy to set up.
