Hi,
We recently upgraded from CE10 ro BOExi_r2. We have now obtained full stability and production on our new live BOExi_r2 system. I then created a mirror BOExi_r2 system on a test server, which will serve as a test, and DR environment. I am as yet unable to import the group-user structure effectively.
This is complicated by the fact that we have also recently migrated all out Windowns NT users from one domain (AF) onto another (LOC). In BOExi_r2 we use a domain group as Windows authentication method.
During the user group migration we moved from AF\CRYSTALNTUSERS to LOC\CRYSTALNTUSERS, and we created a local server group BUSINESSOBJECTS NT USERS which also contained the domain group LOC\CRYSTALNTUSERS as one of its users. We mapped all these in the Mapped NT user groups area of the Windows NT Authentication tab in Authentication within CMC. In doing so we were able to retain all users, irrespective of which domain groups they formed part. There are 525 users on the live system.
When using the Import Wizard, I tried the following:
(1) I mapped ONLY LOC\CRYSTALNTUSERS as the official windows NT user group. Then imported users and groups. It only returned 209 users? All users had full access rights to everything, although this is not the case on tghe live system.
(2) I deleted all windows nt user groups from the Mapped NT user groups area, and imported users and groups. It brings across 116 users, and mapps to LOC\CRYSTALNTUSERS (twice), and BUSINESSOBJECTS NT USERS the Mapped NT user groups area.
Can anyone please help.
