Does anybody know of a free ware partition magic type prog.

I have two partitions, one is full the other not, i want to move some space from the one with loads of room on to the one that is full.

I have found free partition progrms risky. If the data is important, I would buy a good program.

Well i have partition magic 8.0 and it dosnt like my 2000 server sp4.

When i run the install it says

2000/nt/.net server detected the install will now exit.

I have googled this and partition magic would seem to support 2000 but it aint having any of it.

I am about to try acronys and see if that works.

RTFM (it feels good to say that ;-)) - It doesn't support server operating systems though...

Perhaps you could try this But i can't recommend - never used it

use ubuntu
startup from cd
you don't need to install but you can use the partion program in it
it is free and easy

I have actually done a disk tidy and recovered 1gig so that will do me but thanks for your pointers.

There was a whole load of crap on there.

The linux prog Gparted can be used to delete create & resize partitions (much better than partition magic)

It is available on may linux live CD's or can be downloaded as a dedicated Live CD
