I've typed into m-w and no result for 'coldesack'

Yesterday watching Fresh Prince of Bel Air heard Will telling his Uncle that his baldness is a coldesack.

an anyone explain what is this word IS?

The word is cul de sac. It is French.

Thanks but how it was related to a no hair issue? Puzzled...

And while I don't know the exact point the writer was making, it probably has to do with the shape of the balding pattern...

I would expect it to be shaped thusly.

I found the following quote on IMDB. Is this the quote you're talking about?

Fresh Prince said:
Will: It's woman like her why God made darkness.
George Jefferson: [laughs] Hey? Are you insulting my wife?
Will: Wait... hold up, cul-de-sac... I think you need to chill. I'm twice your size, and half your age, so you need to just back off.
George Jefferson: Your mama!
Will: [Will drops his cookies from his hands] I know you ain't talking about my mama!
George Jefferson: Okay, then let's talk about your daddy. Your daddy was so fat... that when he went to school he sat next to *everybody*! And still... he still not as fat as your fat mama!
[walks away]
Will: [Will runs to him and hits him with a bat]

Having seen the series, I would agree that Will's assessment that Uncle Phil's head "looks like a cul-de-sac", is appropriate. <grin>

Not this quote, when Uncle Phil was wearing a toupe to attract younger clients. Carlton brings him an ugly wig...

But seeing :
Will: Wait... hold up, cul-de-sac...
and knowing that George Jefferson is as bald as Uncle Phil it makes me think Will just addressing ALL bald people 'cul-de-sac'???

Soo is cul-de-sac=bald? :)

Not really...It's just Will's sense of humour.

If you say so but my friend who reminded me about this ward having a very short haircut and he went to service a store.
So the store owner said 'Alex cal the suck' and he returned and asked us what was that all about? I said I had heard of "hit the sack" like sleeping...
Then Will reminded me about so it is not just Will's i suppose...

Cul-de-sac is sometimes used as a slang term referring to baldness because of the horseshoe shape of what hair remains. So in context, cul-de-sac can refer to baldness, but that's not always the case as cul-de-sac has a legitimate meaning outside of that slang usage.

Good Luck

Silly Me... First 3 times I read the original post I read:

"..Will telling his Uncle that his baldness is coldesack" (no "a")

My immediate thought was that "No doubt, If I had that little hair my head would be cold-as-heck as well"

Must mean that this work day is nearing an end.... yep 30 mins left.
