Not Holding Calls

I have an Avaya IP Office 403 and using BT converse 2025 Analogue phones. the system is running 3.0
when i press the hold button on the phone it isnt holding the calls on the system, the phone holds the call but the system doesnt and its causing issues.
I have tried an interquarts handset and it holds fine.

is there a setting on the phone or extension that i can change.
