Not going to AA in day mode only ext. 10 1

I program the merlin messaging and all works fine (ext. mailboxes, night service, etc...)

except for day mode ext.10 picks up and I would like day greeting to pick up. Why is this happing is it a step i'm missing?

In night mode I have dial "0" selector code go to ext. 10 (0) to leave a general message and the same would be for day AA.

Do i need to install 801,802,803, etc... to lines and trunks on the VM extensions? (F1,F5,F6,F1). Currently I did not do this.

Assign the trunks (801, 802, etc) or if you are in Hybrid/PBX Mode assign the pool (70) to the Voice Mail Calling Group (770?). That will cause the lines to be answered immediately by the Auto Attendant. Remember to set the lines on the actual telephone to Delayed Ring, so that you are not annoyed by the 1/2 ring on the phones before the AA answers.

I could do that, but I would like the receptionist to answer during the day and after 4th ring AA. I assign the trunks 801, 802, & 803 and then put them on delay. I think the 3 rings is a little to fast for the receptionist to answer before it goes to AA.

I think I could setup the overflow programming for group 771 or so. Will this help it???

Yup, you want to assign the trunks to group 771 (if it is currently unused), and use time-based overflow to 770 (the voicemail calling group). In the voicemail you need to create and assign mailbox 771 to Auto Attendant No. 1. The set the phone to Immediate Ring, and all will be good. Night Service will send the calls to the VM Calling Group immediately.
