Not getting an outbound line

I have a Norstar Meridian with several lines in a hunt group. Inbound calling is fine, but every now and then when a caller tries to get an outside line, they can't get a dial tone, just dead air. Any suggestions?
 
Go under lines and make sure that only the lines you have on the system are in the line pool.

Non-existant lines in the same line pool as good lines would mean that on occasion people will hit on the bad lines.

One of your lines could also be out. If you dont find any non-existent lines, then you need to take a buttset to your incoming CO’s to check for dial tone. (or call a tech )
 
Fastest way is to check all the lines at the reception set if it has lines on it!
