I just inserted a new report. I modified many of the text. It prints [not found] on all the text that I changed. Why is this? Please don't say "the reports dictionary is damaged." How do you "damage" a file by adding text?

Can I salvage this report? Why does this keep happening with text?? This has been an ongoing aggravation since Dynamics 6.0.

I ended up exporting the package, changing the text in notepad, resaving and then re-importing. WOuld be simplier to just edit the text in report writer, no?

[Not Found] usually occurs when using a string that is already used in the 3rd party or Dynamics dictionary ... so then it tries to link to the existing string rather than creating a new one. I don't know why it then fails to find it.

You can normally "fix" this by entering the string slightly differently so that it is a new string.

Add an extra space or some different punctuation.
