Not Enough rights to Application headache!!!

here's th e dilemna:

I have various users that cannot run the application unless I make them local administrators on their respective workstation. This opens the door for un authorized software installation!!!
Can anyone give me direction.

you need to figure out what part they need full access to. A lot of times it is registry or folders that they can't read/write too. Try using filemon or ntregmon. run these little apps while trying to run your program. It will tell you everything the application is doing and if it errors trying to access a file/folder or a part of the registry. It takes some work but it will allow you to only open up parts of the system.
