hi all,

I m trying to backup by running rman script.. if i run the script manually everything goes allright but when ? run it using networker administrator i encounter with "ORA-01031:not enough privileges" how can i resolve this.Please help...

Thanks..

Obviously you are using the wrong account.

If you use the latest NMO version you can also use a wizard which makes it easier to define your script.

I m using nmo 4.2 and define root and oracle accounts in remote access field of networker client.

Remote Access" is for recoveries only. Use "username/password" instead.

Once again, using the wizard should have avoided that.

an easy way is to have the rman accounts defined at the start of your RMAN script..
examples below are rman catalog server, and also the rman account

connect catalog rmancat/mypassword@RMANC1;
connect target rmanuser/mypassword@SID;

what I forgot , was the rman auser' privilages...It needs:

grant resource, connect, recovery_catalog_owner to RMAN;

above privilages to remotely backup..

Thanks to everybody...
