Hi everyone, was wondering if there is anyway to increase the number of groups that the report will sort and group by? I don't have enough groupings for my report and I have used all of the group headers and footers possible. Thank you

Hi remou,
I have sub reports in the report already, but the users are finding the report really slow so I want to try to cut down on the sub reports and increase the query sets to include more information.

Would like to add that I have 12 sections, headers and footers, showing in the report. The sorting and grouping window has 4 items that are not displaying any header or footer sections, but these sections are required for sorting and grouping of the items within the report. Thank you again

I cannot think of any way around this other than subreports. Is it possible that a radical rethink of the report design might help? Why so many headers? If the report is slow, could a modification of the query improve things? I have see the speed of a report increase dramatically when the SQL was changed. [ponder]

Hi Remou,
Thanks for the reply. I got some more space..found it in another forum. I can use one sort field to sort by multiple fields via =A & "~" & B & "~" & C.
Thanks for your help. I will also need to try and see if I can modify the sql statements to be more efficient. Thanks again
