I am running Exchange 5.5 Sp 4 on Windows 2000. I have added an external mailbox (hotmail, yahoo) to a few users so they can check there mail remotely while on vacation but mail is not being forwarded. Mail gets delivered to their internal mailbox fine. Mail gets delivered if I send e-mails directly to their external mailboxes, but the forwarding just won't work. Anyone ever seen this before?

Yes, I have seen this. It is probably caused by the fact that your mail server is (properly :) set up NOT to relay mail. Unfortunately, this is exactly what you are trying to do in this case.

You will need to set up relay connections under "connections" for your IMS properties in Exchange admin.

Hope this helps,
Dana
