Not always directed to companyweb

We have a sharepoint site set up on our server at

http://companyweb.

Most users can access it with no issues. However there are a couple of users who about 25% of the time are directed to Verizon's search page (the default page when an address cannot be found).

They can try to reload the page and most of the time will be redirected. However a vast majority of users do not have this issue.

Any ideas as to why some might have problems and others might not?

Sounds like a DNS issue to me , perhaps the PC's that can't find it are configured to look at external DNS servers

All of the machines are set to get the DNS address automatically.
