Greetings everyone,

I have a customer who has an IPO500v2 I am upgrading from R9.0 to R11. I purchased a PLDS upgrade license, VM Pro, and additional VM Pro ports licenses from Jenne, and activated them through the PLDS portal to get my .xml file. All the licenses show on the .xml when opened, as well as through PLDS. I'm trying to install the licenses before the upgrade, as I like to do to avoid potential licensing issues, and is recommended by Avaya. Here is the license breakdown:

-Upgrade locense to R11 includes:
50 IP Endpoint
25 SIP trunk
Essesntial Edition
Additional Embedded VM Ports (these will become obsolete after VM Pro install

-Preferred Edition
-2 additional VM Pro ports

When I install the .xml license file on the SD card, only 2 license instances are added - the VM Pro and additional ports. Jenne, and their tech support cannot help me, as they say everything looks good with the file.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

I wouldn't create a license file with both the embedded VM ports and the Preferred Edition.
Create a new license when you install VM Pro instead.

I'm building the Application Server on Amazon Web Services, and need to be able to switch over seamlessly because of the volume of calls and emergency services nature of this business, so I need both license instances in the system simultaneously. Those 2 licenses can cohabitate on a system. The issue is, none of the upgrade licenses show up at all. I attached the PLDS activation details and the license snapshot from Manager after the .xml was imported

Check the licenses shown in the PLDS server. I've found in the past that they don't get issued to and show up in the actual IP Office until the config is reloaded.

eg. Add a new extension. The IP Office warns that it doesn't have enough licenses. But once you save the changes, the IP Office talks to the PLDS server to request the license and when you reload the config the licence count in the IP Office config has incremented by one.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

But you haven't upgraded the system yet?

I have not upgraded the system yet. In the past when I have added the PLDS licenses to the SD card the licenses show up immediately after a configuration reload. Do you think I will need to upgrade before the licenses show u p in manager?

Yes you need to upgrade first and remove the old ADI licenses as well.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Just to update all on this, you're all correct. I deleted the ADI licenses (and PLDS), upgraded the system, then reinstalled the .xml for the PLDS licenses, and all is good.

Thanks to all again for the help
