I have an SP node which shows as powered on the control workstation but is powered off and disconnected. When I try to delete the node info it is complaining that the node is still powered on.
[root]:# spmon -d|grep 27
11 27 wide on no notcfg N/A no E051 no

Need help deleting the node information.

Thanks

ok first be sure the frame and slot numbers are accurate for the node your are talking about
I'd do spmon -d |more and be sure that you did not powwer down the wrong node but id the CWS is telling you that it is powered up then do
spmon -p off 11 27
and tell the CWS to power it off. Did you power it off in this manner or did you just pull the plug?

Hope that this helps

The plug was pulled before the node was completely powered off.The frame and slot information is correct.

I tried this [root]:/ # spmon -p off node27

but no change in the status.

[mopmcw,root]:/ # spmon -d|grep 27
11 27 wide on no notcfg N/A no E051 no

Can you reconnect power to the node and make sure the ServiceProcessor drop-cable to the node is connected, then delete the node?

HTH,

Has the node been disconnected from the frame, because it doesn't matter if the power cable was pulled before it was powered off.

# spdelnode <frame> <slot> 1
# delete node information from /etc/bootptab.info
# syspar_ctrl -G -r
# Run Eannotator
