Hi

I am configuring an E1R2 circuit in Brazil and am having issues having it active. I have configured several of these in the USA with no problem, but have not had the same success in Brazil.

I have tried changing several options, but I continue to get a Current State = "Out Of Service". I have a green light and a flashing orange light every few seconds on the port, but I am not sure if there is any signal coming from the provider. I was told that the line was checked yesterday and it was active. However, no matter what I do, I still get "Out Of Service" on the current state.

Is there any filtering features that I can check on the System Monitor that would tell me if I am getting any type of service attempt from the circuit line?

Here is my current configuration:

E1 R2 Options:
-Line SybType: E1-R2
-Channel Allocation: 30 -> 1

Channel Details:
-Direction: Bothway
-Bearer: Any
-Line Signalling Type: R2 DIOD
-Dial Type: DTMF Dialing (As per provider)
-Admin State: In Service

Advanced Tab:
-Zero Suppression: HD83
-Clock Quality: Network
-Line Signalling: CPE
-Incoming Routing Digits: 8 (I usually use 4, but the provider could not tell me how many they send. I don't understand that)
-CRC Checking: Box Unchecked
-ANI Length: 10

I have all Channels "In Service", however, the circuit only provides 15 channels & I only have the built-in 8 channels from the PRIu card. I have another 8 channel licenses coming in tomorrow.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Hi @ega218

I'm from Brazil too. Pls, send me e-mail for w.esley@globomail.com

I'm try help you!

wfranklin, you should ask questions and post responses to those questions in this forum as oppose to privately, doing it via email hardly helps out other members of the forum who come here for help, that's why this forum/site exists after all :)

@ega218

Try change this:

E1 R2 Options:
-Line SybType: E1-R2
-Channel Allocation: 30 -> 1 - FOR - -Channel Allocation: 1 -> 30

If you've only 8 licences, disable other channels.

If you prefer, post here your *cfg.

wfranklin thanks for your assistance, I found some other issues as well:

- I guess in Brazil the Line Signaling should coming from the CO not CPE as I have done in the USA. After I did this, the lines were idle. It's always on feature that does it.
- Dialing Type was changed to "MFC Dialing"
- Even though the phone company kept telling me that they were sending me 8 digits, it was really 4.
- The last feature I changed was as you mentioned above Channel "Allocation: 1 -> 30"

@Wfranklin. Thank you very much for sharing that example. I have my setup exactly like yours. I changed the signalling back to CPE.

I was still having problems, but realized what it was. For the incoming routes I had Any Data, but should have entered Any Voice. I just took a rest and as soon as sat down to review where was the problem, I was able to find it immediately.

I am using Mundivox as a provider.

Again thank you.
