Hello all, The DID in question is in the IDC and works fine...when the user does not forward their phone. When their ext is set to FWD calls to the ext result in the FWD to their Cell but calls to the DID which is set to the same ext in the IDC will result in a "This number is not in use" message. When FWD is removed....The DID works again. What could be causing this?

What happens when you call the number internally, I mean the number that the IDC is converting to? The IDC shouldn't have anything to do with this. Iwould assume you will have the same result internally. You also need to see if CFXA and FTTU is in CLS

When the Set is not set to fwd, the calls to the DID work fine, its only when the set is set to FWD. From another DN if i call the forwarded DN it will forward properly and if I call the main number and put in the ext it will fwd there as well. CXFA is set on the CLS I did not see FTTU i'll try that.

No Dice, I get the ms "Check the number or Code and try again

Is this the only user doing this? Forwarding outside the system? The FTTU allows trunk to trunk connections unrestricted. I think the default is FTTC

I dont know of others yet, Its strange, The DID does work when the DN is not forwarded, its just when its Forwarded.

When you say it works from the main number. Do you mean by going through an auto attendant and then dialing his real Ext. # ??

Yes exactly, only when I use the DID does it come up with the message

Print the customer data block in ld 21 and see what FTOP is set at. By default it is FRES, I would change it to FTLY to allow trunk to trunk connections.

Made that change and its the same issue, I did it with a forward on my personal phone (Added a DID to my ext for testing purposes) Same issue.

You could try forwarding using the access code of the route and see what that does.

I'm not familiar with that, how would I accomplish it?

Instead of putting 9 + the cell number you would put the access code to the route in before the number.

Yea It's still acting the same, Is there a way I can trace or monitor a number to see how the PBX is handling it?
