Not a registered Client

Dear all expert,

I have a very strange problem. I installed 6.1.3 (server a) as a backup server and 3 clients (server b, c & d). But only server d cannot backup, prompt me "is not a registered client".

I checked the server d legato directory, already inputed the server a server name at \nsr\res\servers file. Stop and then start services.

I tried on the different server but this problem still exist.

What O.S. are you using?

- verify the network configuration: ping server from client, and client from server
- verify the service with rpcinfo -p <client>
- reinstall the client

- I can ping server a in server d and vice versa.
- Below is rpcinfo -p 'server d'

- Client re-installed before

There are 2 potential problems:

- you have a name resolution problem. NW can not resolve the name for whatever reason.
Solve the name resoultution problem.
You may also use the IP address whenever you need to specify a NW server,
a client or a storage node. Yes, it works!

- You simply have forgotton to cerate client d.
