Not a modem but looking for thoughts on telephony hardware...

This is the closet I found so as to not have angry posts... Does anyone have any thoughts about the telephony hardware -boards and such- found at

? I've purchased a few things from there and liked what I got. Just looking at possible telephony boards now and wonder if anyone here has experience with the ones from the website mentioned.

Personally I would stick with the industry leaders in CTI boards, so Dialogic or Natural Micro Systems.

I don't have any experience with the boards that you have identified, but they appear to be DSPs based on Voice Modem technologies, which can function but do not work as well as DSPs designed specifically for Computer Telephony Integration in my experience.

If I were looking at Asterisk I would probably still use the Digium cards, even though they are also voice modems pulling double duty.
