.... there's nowhere else to pose this as far as I can see.

Does anyone know of any certification for those in the IT printing business. My company's a vendor of laser printers and associated equipment and software, and we run up against all sorts of datastreams and environments all the time.

We'd like to certify our printing analysts in some way, preferably not vendor specific.

Any ideas anybody?

(PS, I know about Xplor's EDP programme.)

Thanks for that- we certify our hardware techs A+ N+ already. Is the CDIA+ back on track? I'd heard it had fallen into disfavour.... is this a new curriculum?

We may well consider this for our analysts.

But I also need something more technical, covering the ins-and-outs of print data stream types, from simple ASCII, through PCL/PS, Xerox LCDS, IBM AFP/IPDS and any other. Purpose is mainly troubleshooting- when the page doesn't print right, where's the problem?
