NortonAntivirus2003 LiveUpdate unavailable ?!

I bought NortonSystemWorks2003 for its included Antivirus, to eliminate a subseven trojan from my pc, but trying to update the virus definitions, it is not possible to download the new LiveUpdate as NortonAV request(the old LiveUpdate may allow a hacker to control the pc), from any site even from Symantec one.
Does anyone have a solution or a diagnose for this problem?

Go settings,click control panel, click on network connections, click on properties, should see general screen on XP check the box File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks if the box is checked on, with a check,click on box to turn it off. This is how your hacker got in in first place. If you are not running a firewall Click on Advanced screen behind general click box protect my computer and network by preventing access to this computer from the internet. You have just install Microsoft built in firwall for XP. Now go to Symantec and have an internet scan and download tools for your trojan.
follow instructions and you will be OK. then put on you new software. if you put on new software with some worms your computer can and will start up in safe mode. It will find virus ,it will delete it and it will ripout alot critical files needed to run computer. Here is link to symantecs.Scan is at bottom of page.Good luck.
