Norton issue on dell

I am getting an error on a dell XP pro machine running NIS 2006. Every time i click on IE icon i get an error asking me if i want to terminate CCAPP.exe i click yes and it doesnt go away untill I restart the machine. there is an IBM with xp pro and nis 2006 and it does not have the issue. and both computers are fully updated.
any body know what is going on?
 
Try uninstalling and reinstalling NIS. Don't forget to reboot in between. Also, disconnect from your internet connection until your AV is working properly.

When all else fails, READ THE DAMN BOOK!
 
LOL there is no issue in the book
i installed and reinstalled NIS and Windows Xp
not even Symantec could fix this issue after 6 hours of techsupport
