norton Internet Security crashes XP

This is the third time I have had a disaster when updating NIS (the first two I thourght were coincidences).

After updating NIS on Sunday 3rd April asked for a reboot. On reboot it starts to go into the log on screen and then reboots. I could not even boot in safe mode or go back to last known good configuration.

Each time I have had to do a reformat and total reinstall.

Anyone know why of have similar experiences?

I installed this on sunday also. It seems to run ok so far, but the computer seems a bit slower.
