I know this is the NAV forum, but I did a search and can't find a norton forum for their full internet securities suite so hope someone here can help.

I have a mobile user, their laptop has NIS, I have set up the VPN client on their computer and this connects fine.

However, when tying to connect network drives with "net use x: "\\servername\sharename" they get error 53 'network path not found'

I got them to ping the servername and it timed out. So I walked them through going to the security settings and turning off the Norton Personal Firewall, but still they cannot see the network athough the VPN is connected.

Is there something else in Norton still blocking this, what needs to be done to get Norton to allow the connection of the network shares?

might also need to disable norton internet security see if that helps.

Some people make things happen, some people watch things happen, while others wonder what happened.

How do I do that , I didn't think notron internet securities was an actual program, isn't it the name for a set of programs/functionality (Virus, Firewall, Intrusion Detection etc..)
