Hi,
Can anyone help with a problem installing Norton Goback v4?
I had major problems trying to upgrade from Win XP Home to XP Pro. I ended up recovering DRIVE C using Norton Ghost 10
As part of upgrading Windows I un-installed Goback but after recovering C: this drive still thought it had Goback on it. I believe it is all now removed but when I try to re-install Goback it says "Error 25011. Norton GoBack is unable to determine which of the hard drive is the bootable drive."
Symantec help desk have said
please note that your boot.ini entry is showing two entries for the operating system.
1.default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
2.multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
This is a standard boot.ini file as far I can tell.
I have 3 HDs, First is split into C: (active), E: & K:
Second is F:
Third is H:
Anyone got any suggestions?
Cheers
Gordon
