I am looking for a DOS driver for Socket Services that will support a TI 1211 PCMCIA controller (Compaq Presario 1685 laptop) so I can run Ghost in Peer to Peer mode ... can anyone please help?
I purchased Ghost 2k3 because it claimed to do Peer to Peer ... well there is a major caveat ... they only ship with support for a very small number of network hardware solutions .... the issue is you have to use a DOS NDIS or Packet driver to do Peer to Peer ... this is further complicated on a Laptop where you also need to find socket and cardbus services for DOS.
In my case I have a TI 1211 cardbus controller and neither Compaq nor TI have a DOS driver for this beast. Cardsoft software claims to have socket software but they do not appear to support this controller.
Norton says they do not provide support for this feature ... DLINK (using a PCMCIA DFE690TXD NIC) has kindly provided both a DOS NDIS and Packet driver but again no help with the DOS drivers for socket services.
