Norton Corporate 7.60 freezes when scanning itself

I have been having problems which appeared about one to two weeks ago. When my norton goes into scheduled scan, it does fine until it get to the program NavNT, and upon entering it, runs a few seconds, and then simply freezes up, places a yellow exclamation point on the icon in the tool, bar, and locks the norton up. I have to restart the computer to get the norton to un freeze and it works great scanning emails, but will not scan the computer. My IT suggested that I remove the software, and then run regedit and search on the documents files to clean the registry and all files related to the norton, symantec or NAVNT from the computer, restart and reload the program. I have done this three times to no avail. My IT suggested that I run a scan from another virus software which I did, and found no viruses or anything and it ran fine. I again cleaned the computer out, and reloaded the software and ran a scan, same problem. Anyone ever had this problem and if so what did you do about it?
