I have a dell inspiron laptop that has a superdisk installed. I have Norton 5.0 installed. When the machine is started up, Windows begins to load normally. When the machine gets to the logon prompt, it hangs for 2.5 minutes, then continues to boot.
When I swap the superdisk out with a CD ROM, it boots normally.
When I remove Norton, it boots normally with the CD ROM or the superdisk.
I have tried Norton2K, and Norton Corporate edition, and it still hangs, for the same amount of time, but at different points in the boot process.
I feel Norton can't recognize this superdisk (it shows up as removable drive D in My Computer)and it is timing out, or it is looking for something it can't find.
Does anyone have any ideas as how to stop this pause period?
Thanks
