To begin, Yes - I saved both the Symantic and Norton directories before the format...

I formatted over Win ME and installed XP Home on a clean drive. When I went to put Norton AV back on the laptop, I had to get it from the website since I never got a CD-version. I had gotten an upgrade for the next year in December of 2002 (now formatted over). The version of NAV I downloaded was a trial version, and I cannot figure out how to reactivate what I bought last month. I have been to Norton/Semantic's website, but did not find anything to help. Any ideas?

Send an email to Symantec's Customer service. They should be able to trace your previous purchase and let you re-download.
