norton antivirus corp. edition after upgrading to w2k

greetings all-
one of my clients upgraded a few of their machines to w2k pro without first uninstalling norton corp. edition 7.5.
This causes major problems with norton!
Does anyone have any insight as to how to get the win9x version of 7.5 uninstalled and the nt/w2k version installed and working? I have tried all of symantec's suggestions and none have worked. I'm ready to wipe the whole machine and rebuild it from scratch.

HI.

Try to delete (at the client) the InsallShield folder under Program Files.

Try to run SETUP /S at the client.

Try to force reinstall by configuring the Login Script method for Symantec System Center, then running the related BAT file manualy or from a login script.
