I just purchased and installed Norton System Works Professional 2004.
It seems to work find except for the Liveupdate feature. I can never get more than 10 - 20k of the multi-megabyte files downloaded at a time. The Liveupdate terminates and gives me a warning that it was unsuccessful. I have tried 20 times with rebooting in between.
I don't think this is a dial-up connection problem. My other internet browsing and downloading seems to work find.
I suspect perhaps Norton site is being overwhelmed by outside attack, similar to the discusion about spyware.
I tried using Norton automated help, including automated assistant. It stalled in the middle just like Liveupdate. I would like to talk to a human but as far as I can tell Norton/Symantec doesn't have any human's available unless you first give them your credit card number ;-)
Questions:
1 - Do you have any idea why I am having problems with Norton Liveupdate and automated assistant?
2 - Is there some kind of Norton user's group where I can ask fellow Norton user's my questions?
Thx!
