I acquired a 2003 Norton Antivirus CD last summer and finally installed it today. The subscription interval is identifed as 1/7/04 to 1/6/33!! I hate to pay Norton to tell me that 1/6/33 is code for "loaded in 2004" or something else that isn't important to me.

Does anyone know what 1/6/33 as a date means to Norton?

Thanks,

Bookee

Looks like a coporate license copy. In other words indefininte.

I recently aquired a second hand PC and while having a "snoop" around the hard drive before formatting and starting from scratch, I noticed Norton AV 2003 was still current with about a month of subscription left. Just out of curiosity, I clicked on Liveupdate. After it did its thing, I noticed it also renewed the subscription for another 12 months.

Whoopee! I at first thought, but then wondered who paid for the renewed subscription. Is this an aberation of NAV (I don't use NAV and have little experience with it) , or is the previous owner about to get a surprise on his next credit card bill?

Cheers,
Brodie
