When a try to install or start the service: NAV for Microsoft Exchange on my site on a existing Organization, I always get a Dr Watson fot NAVESRV.EXE and afther I get another message: Could not start NAV for microsoft Exchange Error 2186: The service is not responding to the controle fonction.

But, when I install on a TEST server with a TEST site and a TEST Organization, I don't have any problem, it work's fine.

Please help me

Can't say that I've got an answer for you. But I currently run current version of NAV for Exchange on Exchange 5.5 sp3 with NT4 sp6 and don't have any problems.

If you haven't done this in a while, a complete software rebuild of your Exchange box may be in order. Obviously, that may not be an option at this moment. You might download and install something like Trendmicro's product that is free for 30 days or so. It's very easy to install and would give you some breathing room 'till you can schedule a permanent fix. [sig][/sig]

Take a look at Microsofts TechNet and search on 2186 it list a few issues regarding this error. Below is an excerpt that I cut and pasted:

Could not start the <%insert service name here%> on <%computername%>.
Error 2186: The service is not responding to the control function.
No event log errors are reported (with logging at maximum for Microsoft Exchange).
This occurs because the system does not have enough remaining memory to create a new desktop heap for the service being started.
The limit can be raised, but doing so requires changing registry entries to allow more but smaller desktop heaps for Windows NT services. The best solution is to limit MSMail connector instances to seven or less.

I have used the registry edit to fix this when trying to use groupshield antivirus for exchange - it works (for me anyway) - remember to have a working backup before doing it though. [sig][/sig]
