Norton Anti-Virus 2004 Very Slow PLEASE HELP

Hi,

I just recently upgraded from Norton Anti-Virus 03 to 04. I have noticed that when i open files (word & excel docs) it takes much longer for the pre-open scan to run. does anyone know of a way to fix this?

What OS are your running? On Win2000Pro NAV2004 tends to go slow.
