Hi,

I have a desktop PC running Win XP Pro. This is a PC that I put together and hence I know what software I have installed on this machine.

I have installed Norton Ghost 10, Norton Partition Magic 8.0 and Norton Personal Firewall 2005. When I look in Control Panel Add/Remove Programs this is all the Norton software I see.

I have AVG anti-virus on the machine.

But when I look at CCleaner and HijackThis Uninstall Tool list, I see the following:

Norton AntiSpam
Norton Internet Security

in addition to Ghost, Partition Magic and Firewall.

On the system tray, I do not see any icons for Norton Anti Spam and NIS. I have looked under Program Files and I don't see anything there either.

My question is, where did this software come from, assuming it really exists? Should I uninstall it using HijackThis or CCleaner? If so, will that affect the other Norton software? As I said, I don't think this software exists, but I don't know what is making CCleaner and HJT to report them as being there.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
