I have the Norton AntiVirus for Exchange running on my Exchange server, but do I ALSO need the regular antivirus client installed on the Exchange server to protect it?

only if you have files on that server / chance that files will change.

HI.

Yes, you need the file based AV also, because the server might get infected from workstations or other sources.
But, you MUST exclude the following folders from scanning:

Drive M if you have Exchange 2000
All EXCHSRVR folders on all drives, or if you want to be more specific, all data/temp/work folders of Exchange.
C:\PROGRAM FILES\NAVMSE\TEMP folder
If using a program like POPBeamer, then its temp storage also.
