NORTON 2004 ANTIVIRUS

HEY GUYS
I am running Win98 on a Dell PII MMX with 256mb ram. Trying to install norton and it will hang while trying to install or after waiting forever give a error could not complete installation error#1722 "problem in windows install package"
Please any help would be appreciated.

I'd contact Norton with the error number. Is this Win98 or 98SE? Do a search for "windows installer". You may need an up-grade. Which version of Norton?

Sorry, I didn't notice you listed your version of Norton. Is this 2004 compatable with Win98, or do you need WinXP?

I had a similar issue - it was a virus, cannot recall name of virus but STINGER cleared it.
