Hello i would appreciate if some one could help me here i seem to be getting alot of people calling in saying that they are getting a 169 IP address, it seems that the reason that this is happening is because of Norton because when i stop it from loading on boot using the msconfig tool it gets the correct IP address, has any one ever had this problem before if so is there an easier way round it other then disabling it on boot.

It would be great if i got any feedback at all on this.

Cheers.

The word "Norton" isn't much to go on, can you be a bit more specific?

Sorry about that it is Norton's Firewall on the 2006 and 2005 packs.
