I have not worked with Access for several years and now need to create a parts inventory for my company. I'm going to use the Northwind database and strip down what is not applicable to us (which I have done). The problem I see is that in the Northwind database, the quantity in stock field in the products table does not seem to decrease when an order is placed. This is one of the main features that I need. Have I missed something? Can anyone tell me how to make this work? Any help would be appreciated.

If you are using a form, you could use form buttons to increase/decrease the quantities in your table, via queries or VBA code, or probably even Macros...
